I’m so freaking excited right now. A couple of weeks ago I went camping. I took some projects with me. One of the projects was a bin with 20lbs of assorted Lego blocks in it. My goal was to sort them all by color and special pieces and then see if I could come up with some creation.
Wow did I ever! I designed a small house that I nick named the “Vampire Pirate Cottage”. I was impressed with myself since this was only the second thing I ever created on my own. The first was a tunnel for my Lego train set.
Anyways I was thrilled with how the cottage came out. I made sure that it made it home safely and I was looking for what I could do with it. I did some research and decided to post it to Lego Ideas.
Today I got a notification that it was approved!!!
So now I need to gain supporters. If I can get 10k supporters Lego might make it a set!!! That would be totally awesome. I think it’s a great piece that would fit into anyone’s collection. It had playability and uniqueness.

Vampire Pirate Cottage
So it wasn’t quite the progress I was going for but it was progress nonetheless.
I did hit several workouts during the week. I started doing two workouts a day last week however I didn’t make the best food choices. I went to the movies twice and then Max & Ermas.
I could have made some better choices but didn’t want to starve myself. I was able to maintain my weight from last week.
I was able to do more push-ups and pull ups than I did before so I’m happy with that.
I’ll continue on my quest.

So after watching a recent episode of NBC’s America Ninja Warrior it occurred to me that I should start focusing my weightloss goals on that. As I have been struggling with my focus and not seeing any major improvements I decided it was time to kick it into high gear.
There is a park near my house that has a fitness trail program. There are 14 stations dedicated to helping you improve your strength along with cardio conditioning. Some of the stations are chin up bar, sit ups, balance beam and body curls. Tuesday was my first attempt at these stations. I have to admit I wasn’t impressed with my efforts and I know that I shouldn’t have expected to be awesome out of the gate considering I’m 30lbs over weight.
I did the circuit 3 times within an hour. This was good for me. I’m planning on attempting this again at least 2-3 times a week. Once the pounds start shedding off I know that I will get better.
Also the stations are spread out around the park connected by the trail. You are suppose to jog to each station. If you complete the loop then you have jogged almost a full mile.
The first take it took me a little over an hour to complete three rounds. I’m hoping this time improves over the upcoming weeks.
Along with a morning routine which now consists of getting up everyday at 5:30am, I’m doing an evening after work as well. I’m starting to add strength training into my normal cardio routine. I know that just cardio and a good diet isn’t going to cut it.
Well I’m off the train some more!
